NO FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE MADE TO THE WEBSITE FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE, HOWEVER I DO HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO EAST MIDLANDS GENEALOGY AND THAT YOU FIND SOMETHING OF INTEREST. . .
I have tried to make the website as user friendly as possible. The menu on the left hand side is self explanatory, as are the pages contained within each menu tab. There is an 'updates' page which contains the records that have been added to the website and a 'coming soon' page which will detail records that have been transcribed and are waiting to be added.
About the Transcriptions.
All transcriptions found within these pages are carried out personally by myself with the help of my mum (under my guidance). Due to the age of some of the records involved, some of the writing/content may be illegible. Where a transcript raises issues, this has been clearly denoted by being underlined and where part of an entry has been left blank this is as the record was viewed by myself and not through any error of my own by omitting information. Please be aware of the notes at the side of a year stating that it was hard to read. All the transcriptions contained on this site must be viewed at all times as a secondary source and my own interpretation and not as 100% accurate, however whilst transcribing the records the greatest of care has been taken to ensure that the best transcript possible has been made. I would also like to make users aware that the way in which this website has been created is in the same format as would be viewed if looking at the original parish registers on micro-fiche at a records office or library. There is no search facility available on this site. The transcriptions for each parish will end at 1901.
